A little something for an upcoming time ;)
The River Hymn & MRYM Candy
Miryam was responsible for the candy at the end of the River Hymn, as well as this jewel atop. She brought out the contrasted celestial shore that opposes Dark Water’s ominous representation of “Champagne Wreckless” on the cover for the EP.
Dark Water & River Hymn
The River Hymn was the whole reason for the Dark Water - EP.
When I went to the studio to I made sure to get this one out of the way before I went for any thing else. It’s the leader of this pack, and the biggest bulb of the bunch.
From: a city made of stone
It’s appropriate that this exploration from 2009 be part of the streaming and download release.
I can remember the color of the room I lived in at the time: a Dark red and muddy green brown recording. it has become in its current form as the introduction to Dark Water.
A time stamp to date the beginning of things. It’s a place where I first explored this landscape—a different time.

HardCopy • The Dark Water - EP
Today, while being alone for the most part, there were a lot of guests in the church today.
i had time to figure out the burning towers, and I was able to duplicate all the discs for The Dark Water - EP.
Some limited edition copies of the EP will also be available. I’ll have more details on that soon. But here’s a peak ;)

Announcing the Dark Water EP
As some of you might know, on September 9th, I went into the studio for the second time this year to record the Dark Water - EP.
Dark water is about artistry and applying your work ethically, and honoring the artist before the entertainer by displaying its value, but not discrediting its habitual, emotional, and spiritual implications.
The music starts in late 2009 to early 2010, shortly after I moved to Texas.
I spent a lot of time with a man speaking about my early childhood and the things that have plagued me emotionally. We spoke on many things, but what this record talks about are the things that I was too ashamed to say. I wore a mask of the man I'd made myself become so that I could deal with the truth I was hiding through my blatant honesty.
The record also reflects this current time in my life, where the dangers of uncertainty and having to measure risk plague me with fear; however, by the Lord's grace he offers us the option of His repentance for the safety of resting in Him.
Like a boat on a river of water and blood, a man proceeds down the crystal waters of a tributary, fouled with streams of failure in being a servant of God, yet glorified with the streams of Christ Jesus’ blood.
One must follow the source of Jesus’ redemptive flow at all costs of obedience, sacrifice, and offering through the crystal stream, through the treacherous storm, and finally to the celestial shore of His great kingdom where His work is to be done.
At the close of the record, the river splits towards two directions, and the message is carved: which path with you take?

Our Biggest Threat per Elon Musk
I've been following the AI thing for a while now. It's very interesting, to say the least. It good to hear this perspective. I think it's important.
I gave to the flood relief effort some today. It's the first time, since Harvey, that I had any empathy for the situation.

Upcoming Sessions
I don't know what to say right now, but I want to say it.
There always seems to be a stir of emotions as studio sessions come up. I haven't been to the studio before during this time of year, so it's hard to get my brain honed in on what I'm doing. Luckily, I have had this said stirring.
All of a sudden the songs start to make sense in the sequence I'm presenting them.

August
August: Summer's downshift.
It may still be hot, but the "Summer" is over.
It's a bit of a sad time. A time to remember loss. A time to recognize death as part of this life. To note the decay in the wobble of the spinning top.
Back To Work
I'd like to announce that I'm in preparation to go back to the studio to record, what I am now calling, the Water - EP.
There will be some other fun stuff to go along with this, and there will be more info on that later.
