LOOK SHARP! - ROXETTE

“Listen To Your Heart” is my first favorite song. My sisters had the cassette single for the song. It was a blue cassette, the A side being “Listen To You Heart” and the B side being “Half a Woman, Half a Shadow”. I remember wondering if two different people singing the two songs. The record was released a year after I was born, so It’s hard for me to know when I actually first heard the song. It was just always around. I remember swinging in the front yard in Louisiana and singing the song; I remember doing a dance competition with my sister and our neighbor where my sister used the B side for their music. Whenever I was in high school, the techno remix of the song came out by DHT along with the accompanying piano version. I remember feeling like the gate was open on something that was sacred to me…. silly.
